Boot Scootin' Wedding Fun

The girls and I went to Ashley & Phillip's wedding Saturday night.  It was very pretty and sweet.  The bride and the bridal party all wore cowgirl boots, so we went with the theme as well!

*** Garden update - we almost have our garden completely planted.  I am taking pics along the way in hopes to show the start to finish.  :)  We are enjoying the process of it all.  If we get some produce out of it then that will just be an added benefit!  Happy spring, Y'all! Pics to come soon.  ****

Calendar Anxiety

When I worked at Hernando Hills with my awesome friend Stephanie, she diagnosed me as having "calendar anxiety".  See I am the person who plans to plan in my planner!  I like to have it all written out nicely in advance and well...planned!  Of course motherhood has taught me that this is an impossible task and to be more of a "go with the flow" type of gal.  I am still learning!  April and May are what we call CrAZy months in the school world.  My calendar literally has no blank spots.  Calendar Anxiety.  But I LOVE IT....  Here is to hoping for great crazy FUN  last two months of the school year.  Summer is a whole other story.  My favorite question is, "Well you really do not have much to do over the summer, do you?"   More on that later.... I do not have it planned on my calendar to discuss right now!  :) With that being said, I want to do a quick photo update.  I have been Tweeting and in the world of Instagram lately thanks to the convenience of the iPhone -- what else do you do while waiting in line at Kroger!  I hope to pick up my blogging habits again soon.

Oh...and we (Dan) are in the middle of a project.  We are putting new hardwood floors in downstairs and in the hallway upstairs.  Dan has been working on the stairs each evening.  He has had a little helper at times.  We are so excited about getting this done!  Thank you to my sweet husband for putting his shed wants/needs on hold to do this project for me!

The caption portion of the blog is acting up, so I can't add captions below.  The picture of the girls was taken my Grandmama at The Isaacs concert at church.  The girls LOVED the "grass" music.

Jack had his 9 month checkup on 4/8/13.  No shots! (Yay) He weighs 24.6 lbs and is almost 30 inches long.  He is in the 95th percentile all the way around! Football player in the making!  He was all over the dr.'s office trying to test out every object he could touch!  Busy boy!

Jack's First Hair Cut

Bear has a new hair do!  It was time for a little trim.  I couldn't go for the complete little boy hair cut just yet, so he just had a little cut off of the top.  He was so good!  Thank you so much, Mrs. Jeanette and the sweet ladies at City Hair Co.!

Waiting patiently for his turn!  The lollipop helped with this part!

I'm ready!

Hey, Mommy!

All smiles!

What was that?

Look at me!  Loving on Mrs. "Nette"!

Happy Easter 2013

Happy Easter

Trying to pose with your 9 month old brother is almost impossible!  Nice try, May!

Bear's First Easter!

May Bug

Easter Bunny left all kind of goodies!

This stuff is for me???  :)

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday.  We started the day at a great church service at DeSoto Hills.  Bro. James preached a wonderful Easter message.  Bear went to the "crawlers" class for the first time.  He loved playing with his new friends.  We spent the rest of the day visiting with our sweet family.

Grandpa Hunter & Bear playing!

Grandmamma and Bear playing.... He LOVES his bucket!

Jalyn & Maylee chalking!

Grandmamma sugar!

Here are some more random pictures that I found when I was downloading our Easter pics.  I rarely remember my camera these days, so I rely on my phone.  It was nice actually using my camera today!

May built Bear a pillow wall when he was learning to sit up.
Three Generations of Samples Men having a very serious conversation!
Oh my Goodness - melt my heart!

Not a Still Moment

I am finally getting a second to sit down and blog.  I am way behind on posting.  We have a 9 month old baby that is now into everything!  With three girls running around and one little boy trying to explore the world, we do not have many still moments.

Jack is now army crawling at top speed, opening every cabinet and drawer he can reach, pulling on any and every object he can get.  He is still saying "dada, dada" all the time along with some other syllables that I cannot quite understand just yet.

We were all on Spring Break last week and it was great!  Emma and Maylee got new bikes.  They are learning to use their hand brakes now.  Becca mastered riding without training wheels, so she has a new basket on her bike.  Bigger bike to come soon!  :)  GiGi came into town for a couple of nights.  They all went to the zoo and enjoyed the spring weather.

Dan and I had such spring fever in the yard!  We (well "I" but I am dragging him along...) decided to plant a small garden this year!  I am SO excited.

Today we took the kids skating.  Dan and the girls went while Bear was napping.  He and I joined them after his nap.  The girls had a great time.  They will be pro skaters before long!  Dan was a skating champ as usual.  :)  Bear and I watched from the side bench, but he had a great time watching and "dancing" to the music.  Sunday Funday!

It is Almost Moving Day

Grandmamma & Popie are getting closer and closer to the BIG moving day!  We are so excited and I know they are too!  Saturday we ran over for the kiddos to carve their names in their drive way!  They LOVED putting their little marks in a place it will last forever!

How sweet is this!  Grandmamma and Popie celebrated their 40th anniversary Saturday!

Counting Down to Spring Break

Let the count down begin.....it is almost Spring time and Spring Break.  We are looking forward to springing our clocks forward and enjoying a week of no schedules and chilling out!  We hope all of you have a fabulous Spring Break too!

Here is to hoping for flip flop weather because this Mama is out of her boot!  Now the doctor did tell me to remember the "cooler" the shoe, the more risk I will have to feel pain.  Was he reading my mind?

This has been a fun filled week at school with each day having a theme to celebrate Read Across America and to promote literacy!  I love my job!

Maylee rocking her "Pink-i-licious" outfit for Favorite Book Character Day!

GiGi sent Emma a check for her birthday, so she could endorse it herself.  GiGi says she remembers me loving to do this, so she wanted to send it in her name. :)

Bedhead.....This is what happens to Bear's hair if you try to part it in an opposite direction!
