Our Own March Madness

Where did March go?  I am so serious.  It seems like we blinked and now it is almost April!  I know Spring Break was in the middle!  :)

We have had a very busy and productive month.  I guess I should say Dan has had a very productive month.  On top of finishing painting the girls' rooms, Dan has completely ripped out our old flower beds and made new beds.  I have tried helping as much as possible, but it seems like I do more supervising and being there for moral support!  :)  Our new flower beds are absolutely gorgeous.  I cannot wait to watch all of the pretty plants grow.

The next project is start on Jack's room!  Looking at the blog tonight, I cannot believe he will be here in less than 100 days.  :)  He is a very active little boy - squirming and moving a lot these days.  Jack's room will be decorated in "pickup trucks and pups"!

Fabric A and Fabric B are the fabrics for Jack's bedding.

What an Honor

What an amazing week it has been for me!  THANK YOU to all of you who are part of my constant support group!  My job is a 24/7 passion.  Those of you closest to me know how much it means to me.  I am so lucky to wake up each morning and love what I am doing.

I am posting these wonderful memories as documentation for my memory!  :)

To Do....To Do....

I am so sorry I have not been posting lately.  We have been very busy with our home improvement "to do"list!  Well, let me rephrase this...Dan has been very very busy!  He painted the girls' rooms and moved all the furniture around.  They love their new purple rooms!  I get to do the fun part and start decorating! Also, we have made room for Jack.  We are excited to get started on his nursery!  Now Dan has started outside by completely starting over on the front flower beds.  It is going to be so pretty!

With all the hard work, we have found time for some fun.  We celebrated Grandmama's birthday with a great cookout.  Also, we celebrated Nicholas's 2nd birthday at Partyland!  We must find time for a little R & R in all of this work!  :)

Love these pics from Grandmama's birthday celebration!

Fun Times at Playland!  Happy Birthday, Nicholas!

February Fun

We've had a Fun-filled February.  I hate that I have not posted in awhile.  It seems like the days are going by so quickly!  Here are some of the highlights from the last few weeks!

Dan and I celebrated our anniversary with a date night!  :)

The girls and I had fun time at the nail salon.

Maylee has been working very hard earning stickers to show she is a "big girl"!  She earned enough stickers to get her ears pierced!  She was so brave!  And now she is very proud of her "bling"!

Maylee's dance group performed at the nursing home for a special Valentine's treat.  The girls filled out Valentine's and passed them out at the end of the performance.  It was very sweet!

Happy Birthday to Popie & GiGi

We had a weekend of birthday celebrations!  We celebrated GiGi's "HaPPy 50th" Saturday night at a fun filled party at Ms. C's party barn.  Then we celebrated Popie's birthday Sunday by having a delicious Italian lunch after church.

We hope both of these very special people had a fabulous birthday and an even better year!  We love you!

Some Gag gifts for the birthday girl!

A special gift from Ma.  A beautiful ring Mama had admired when Ma received it 40 years ago.  This was a precious and teary moment!  :)

Weekend in the City....NYC!

After an unexpected snow storm caused our trip to Seattle to be canceled, we decided to take the opportunity and visit New York City!  I still cannot believe we did it because it is never like me to do something this spontaneous without taking weeks to plan and plan again!  I must admit - it felt great!  We had a fabulous time!

It was cold and snowed our first day in the city.  The weather did not slow us down at all.  You will notice how bundled we are in the pictures.  We did all of the tourist things to do and enjoyed every minute.  We saw the Broadway show, "Rock of Ages"!  It was so entertaining and fun to watch.

At the end of the trip, we decided that a few days in the city was enough.  We were ready to be back in the South!  :)

P.S.  You will see that I am starting to look very "preggo" in these pics!  17 weeks!  :)

View from our hotel room.

Parking!  I would really be in trouble! :)

Central Park

Our tour of Central Park.  It was so cold and snow covered the paths, so we took the bike tour.  We learned a lot of interesting facts about the park.

Standing in front of one of the beautiful fountains in Central Park.

View of the Citi Ice Skating Rink from the Empire State Building.  We zoomed the camera, but this was amazing!

Awesome view of NYC!
Times Square

911 Memorial Welcome Center

It is hard to see, but this is a very neat water fall/fountain that we saw walking down the street.

Rockefeller Center

New York Public Library - It is gorgeous!

Inside the library.  Dan would not let me take his picture.  He said no one would believe he was in the library.  Well I promise he was there!  :)

Getting ready to leave the hotel for dinner and a Broadway show!

Dinner was delicious at the Bourbon Street Restaurant on Restaurant Row (46th Street)

The show was unbelievable!!!  We loved it!

Our last day!  We made one more visit to Central Park.  This time it was warmer and sunny!
