July Recap

I knew when we returned from our vacation that I would be extremely busy, but now I am thinking that was an understatement.  July is now a blur!  

The girls have had a fun month of doing anything you can imagine!  We also had a supper date and visit from the Lowry family!  YAY!  :) 

For the past two days, I have been attending DCS Admin. Training.  I love these two days when we all get together to prepare for the upcoming school year.  It just really gets me fired up about the everything!  I am so blessed to work with such amazing people.  

Get ready...School is just around the corner.  Jack and I are actually on our way to work at school after I complete this post.....

Beach Trip 2013

Rain...Rain...PLEASE GO AWAY!  This was the theme to the ending of our 2013 beach trip!  The rain brought us home a day early, but we did have a great time.  We spent as much time as we could on the beach or in the pool.  On the rainy days we shopped (along with every other person in FL), enjoyed eating out, and Dan discovered he loves working jigsaw puzzles.  After two days of the rain, we realized it was not going to clear up.  We did get a chance to walk on the beach and enjoy fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July!  We cannot wait to do it again next year.  More pics to come soon!  :) Right now we are enjoying HOME SWEET HOME!

Happy Birthday, Jack McCay Samples (Bear)

One year ago today a sweet baby boy named Jack was born!  We love him so much!  We cannot wait to see what the next year will bring with his little personality developing more and more each day.

We celebrated with a family party at our house on Sunday.  Jack did not like having the cake all over his hands, but he loved eating the cake!  Emma, Maylee, and Becca had a great time helping their little brother open his presents.  It was a great way to celebrate turning ONE!  Happy Birthday, Bear!

Summer Fun

Oh MY...... I cannot believe how busy we have been.  I absolutely LoVe  summer, but it is hard to find a minute in the day to do much of anything!  I guess that is a good enough explanation for my blog neglect!

FUN in the SUN!  We love pool days!

On June 1st, we celebrated Grandmama and Popie's new house and 40th wedding anniversary with a party at their beautiful new home!  The day started out very rainy.  We were worried the weather would keep people from coming to help celebrate, but it turned out to be a beautiful day!  

These two are amazing people!  We are so proud to have them as role models in our lives and in our children's lives.  We love you, Grandmama & Popie!  

Dan and I celebrated our birthdays at the beginning of June.  We attended the St. Jude fundraiser on the  evening of my birthday with my sweet aunt and uncle and friends.  It was a great time for a great cause.  

The girls attended the DeSoto Family Theatre camp the first week of June.  They had a great time.  At the end of the week, they were in a short version of "Chicken Little".  We are so proud of our little actresses.

Today was gorgeous!  We spent the afternoon at the pool grilling out and enjoying the day with family and friends.  Maylee could not wait to get in the swimming pool.  She stayed in for at least 6 hours straight!  Jack loved the water, but it was just a little too cool for him to stay in for a long time.  

Happy Memorial Day Weekend.  Let us all remember those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom!

Summer (in school terms) has officially arrived!

Maylee's Last Day of Kindergarten & and my last day at HSES with the students.  

We will never forget Hope Sullivan Elementary.  The love, support, and friendships that we gained during the last four years will forever be cherished.  As I have been saying....it is not a goodbye, it is simply a "see you later"!

Oh yes, this brought on the tears!
