Jack McCay Samples arrives

Jack McCay arrived Monday, June 25th at 6:10 p.m. weighing 6 pounds /12 ounces and 20 inches.  We are so in LoVe!!!  :) 

We had a great stay at the hospital.  Tonight is our first night at home.  The girls are so excited to have their little brother home!  They have been a very big help.  

Dan and I were able to rest at the hospital, but I am sure tonight might bring a different story.  I wanted to get some pics on here before we go to bed.  They are not in order of events, but you will get the idea.  :)   Details to come later.  

Emma, Maylee, and Becca are wearing shirts over their dresses because Jack brought them a little present to the hospital - each a shirt that says, "Sisters Rock and Rule".  

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers as we welcomed our son to the world.  I promise you, we could feel them!  

Our bags are packed, the girls are excited and settled with Grandmamma and Popie, everybody is ready to be at the hospital and I am so NERVOUS!  I really do hope I can sleep tonight, but the anticipation reminds me so much of Christmas Eve when I was a little girl.  To think that at this time tomorrow (hopefully), we will be holding our son is such an overwhelming and awesome feeling.

Summer Days

We have really enjoyed the days of summer!  The girls have been busy swimming, playing, going to the library, and anything else they can think to do!  They even had a great time playing in the rain one afternoon.  Who could blame them - we just have not seen much rain this summer.  Also, we have another male addition to our family -- Tigger the Kitten!  The girls treat him more like a baby or a rag doll.  He is toted all around the yard.  He even gets to take bicycle and big wheel rides.  Molly, our dog, is not too sure of Tigger.  We cannot figure out who likes to torment each other more or if it is the beginning of a love/hate relationship!  Stay tuned...only time will tell.  


Baby Update....Only 4 more days until Jack's arrival.  We go to the hospital Monday, June 25th!  We have everything ready!  We are so excited to meet our little man.  Please keep us in your prayers as this big day approaches.

Maylee's Dance Showcase 2012

To wrap up the year for dance, Stars in Motion puts on an annual Showcase.  Maylee completed her first full year in dance.  She had an amazing year with Ms. Jill and all of her friends.  They all did a wonderful job.  At the end of the show, there was a special surprise....the Daddy/Daughter Dance.  We were all so impressed with the Dads.  Dan did a great job!  :)

After the showcase, we all went out to eat.  Dan and I celebrate our birthdays this week.  We were surprised with a birthday serenade from the restaurant staff complete with sombreros and even pie in our faces!!  Delicious chocolate birthday cake did follow, so it was all worth it.  Spending time with all of our family was a wonderful way to celebrate!  

Jack's Shower

On May 19th we had a very sweet shower in honor of Jack.  We received so many wonderful things to welcome our baby boy.  After the shower, the girls and I had a great time showing Dan all of the neat "boy" things.  We were all so excited to get all of the stuff in his room.  We are so grateful for the great family and friends that gathered to celebrate this exiting time in our lives.  


Baby Update..... At my last visit, the doctor told me that we will go in June 25th if Jack has not made his entrance!!!  WHEW HEW!  This Mama is so ready!
