Let's Build It

Thank you, Don Conway, for designing our dream home.  We gave you a lot of details that you turned into a house!  

We are just a few weeks away from building our house.  We hope.  I decided to document this process through blogging.  I hope to put it all together as a book when we finish.  Our goal is to make this a FUN and not so stressful process.  We had an architect draw the plans.  Dan and I enjoyed watching our ideas come to life on paper.  I can only imagine how it will feel to call it home!  

So here it goes... the good, the bad, and the FUN of building a house.

Spring 2014

We're back!  I hope now that school year 2013-2014 is coming to a close,  I will take the time to keep up with blogging.  We really do miss having the blog as our "scrapbook".

We moved three weeks ago into a rental house.  We are starting a fun adventure of building a house!  We are extremely excited and anxious to get this process started.  In the mean time, we are all cozy in our rental and enjoying some of the amenities of living close to "town".

Here are some snapshots from Easter Sunday.  As you will see, our sweet children are growing like crazy.  Trying to get us all posed for a picture was comical.

Wow...it has been a LONG time

Oh my.... I sure did not mean to wait so long to catch up on my blogging.  With all of the social media -IG, FB, Twitter, Blogs, I feel like I have social media ADD at times!  :)  I do enjoy posting on our blog because it truly serves as our family journal and scrapbook.  So here is to catching up on the Samples happenings....

In the last month and a half....
~ We have settled into our school routine.
~ Jack (Bear) has started walking!  Now he is rarely still and into everything.
~ We decided to move to the country!  Let the house selling begin (at some point)......
~ The season started at the Orpheum!
~ UT Football
~ Work has been super busy with lots of trainings, Go Jim Go, and many other exciting things.
~ We celebrated Maylee's upcoming birthday today at Pleasant Hill Art Center.  We had a lot of fun!

School is in Session!

It has been a VERY busy week at our house.  School started for all three girls this week and I started with my new teachers and students at my new school!  I really do not think I slept more than a wink the week leading up to the beginning!  It has been a fun and exciting time!  Yes, we now have a daughter in second, one in first, and one in Kindergarten!

Grandmamma surprised me with these beautiful roses and supper one night!  The family of a principal really lives "school" 24/7.  I could not do what I do without the loving support of my sweet family!  Long hours and stress plus this made the tears flow that night!  Blessed beyond measure! 

The week would not be complete without a trip to the garden.  I love my little harvest helper!

Nanny Lynsey and Jack surprised us the 1st day of school with 2 beautiful arrangements!  Lynsey has been another lifesaver this week!!!  Smiles all around.

July Recap

I knew when we returned from our vacation that I would be extremely busy, but now I am thinking that was an understatement.  July is now a blur!  

The girls have had a fun month of doing anything you can imagine!  We also had a supper date and visit from the Lowry family!  YAY!  :) 

For the past two days, I have been attending DCS Admin. Training.  I love these two days when we all get together to prepare for the upcoming school year.  It just really gets me fired up about the everything!  I am so blessed to work with such amazing people.  

Get ready...School is just around the corner.  Jack and I are actually on our way to work at school after I complete this post.....

Beach Trip 2013

Rain...Rain...PLEASE GO AWAY!  This was the theme to the ending of our 2013 beach trip!  The rain brought us home a day early, but we did have a great time.  We spent as much time as we could on the beach or in the pool.  On the rainy days we shopped (along with every other person in FL), enjoyed eating out, and Dan discovered he loves working jigsaw puzzles.  After two days of the rain, we realized it was not going to clear up.  We did get a chance to walk on the beach and enjoy fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July!  We cannot wait to do it again next year.  More pics to come soon!  :) Right now we are enjoying HOME SWEET HOME!
