Adding another sweet girl to the bunch - MOLLY

We are proud to announce our newest addition to the family, Molly Hope Samples.  She is a four month old fox terrier.  She is going to fit right in with all of us.  She already likes to watch TV!  :)

The Perfect Day

Our Wedding Day - February 5, 2011

We are so thankful to all of the wonderful people who made this day so special for us.  We will post more pics soon!

The Samples in Gatlinburg

Yes, we are posting the honeymoon pictures before the wedding pics.  Dan is on his way to get the wedding pictures from Lynsey as I type this post!

We had a fabulous time in Gatlinburg.  On the first day, the weather was perfect for a hike on Mt. LeConte.  We saw beautiful patches of ice and snow, but it was warm enough to enjoy all of it.  On day 2, we drove through Cade's Cove and enjoyed seeing a lot of deer and turkey.  Also, we loved looking at the old homes and churches.  After driving the loop, we drove to Ober Gatlinburg to go ice skating!  We finished the evening with a great dinner and met a very nice couple that lives in Gatlinburg.  Everything about our honeymoon was perfect!

On the way home, we went to Mama's to pick Maylee up.  We knew the weather back home was getting snowy and dangerous.  We were fortunate not to run into any snow and ice until Corinth.

Here are a few highlights of the trip!

Dan and the river!  GORGEOUS!
Start of the hike!
The snow was beautiful!  Dan is pretty cute, too.  :)
What can we say! :)
Just hanging out on a rock!
Gorgeous view during our hike!
Dan walking in the cave.
Our cabin!
Dan standing on John Oliver's front porch.
Eight Gobblers as we were entering Cade's Cove!

Ice skating in Ober Gatlinburg.  No falls and Dan did some spins and turns!  I did great just getting off of the rail for most of the time.

Life is all about how you HANDLE "Plan B"

I saw the title of today's post on something at the flower shop as I was finalizing everything for our wedding.  It caught my eye because it was on something cute and sparkly, but then I really started to think about it!  Being an ultimate planner, it is always hard to accept when things do not work out exactly how I think they should.  But that is what makes life so amazing......things DO work out the way they should.  God is in control.  I love the daily reminders that make me stop and realize that life is worth living not planning!

Our Wedding Day is Getting so Close!

Cakes, Flowers, Dresses, Tuxes, Music......All of it is coming together!  We are so excited about our wedding day.  We went to get our marriage license today in the pouring rain!  It was an entertaining experience.  As we were sitting there waiting our turn, we learned several interesting facts by listening to the clerk counsel the couple before us.
We just have to share a few........
* In the state of Tennessee, it is legal to marry your first cousin.  This is for "those mountain people."
* Mississippi will consider you a "common law" marriage after seven years, but your common law spouse cannot add you to his/her insurance.  The couple in front of us seemed very upset about this, but decided to go ahead and get married.  They have been dating since 1990.....and insurance is what brings them to the Justice of the Peace to say "I do"......
* The sweetest moment was when an elderly man came up to us and said, "I hope yours will be as wonderful as mine!"  Precious!

Well four more days to go until the big day!  The next four days will be very busy and exciting!
